Oh Look, Pie!

I hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving, I had a wonderful day spending time with loved ones. I've missed the past 2 Thanksgivings with my family because I was in Dominica so this was super special for me! I'm so grateful for my family, their support and understanding during the past 2 years have been much appreciated. Of course, the food was amazing!

All smiles! After studying at the library all day, I had to get a quick workout in the night before Thanksgiving!

I usually make my "famous mashed potatoes" however, this year I switched it up and made candied yams for the first time. They didn't last long so I'm going to assume they were alright! ;)

Cast A Stone

Good morning, I hope you all had a lovely week!
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!

This week I made a sun-dried tomato cream Mediterranean dish. I found the recipe on Allrecipies.com and then modified it
a little bit to make it my own! It tasted wonderful!

Dragon needed a bigger home; he was moving so fast that I could barley take a
picture of him!

Gym flow, pit stop to Starbucks, continue studying...
sounds about right!

This is such a quick and yummy breakfast to make on those days
when oatmeal just isn't going to cut it!

H&M has started their Black Friday promo, I wanted to buy the entire store!! Later that evening, I curled up with a good read for some much needed R&R.
Burnout is so real, you have to know when to take a break, then
get back to it!

Week In Review: Election Week

Say hello to my little friend....Dragon!

With the weather cooling down I had taste for chili, I added a side of rice to go with it. It was really simple and quick to make, directions are on the
back of the McCormick chili packaging. I chose the 93% lean beef, it was lower in
total fat.

So glad I was able to take my granny to vote, so worth the day off from Step prep

Love What You Do

Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it.

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.Love never fails.

Family

Happy Friday! Before the semester started I had to do a post on my family. Anyone that knows me knows how close my family is, we are extremely tight knit. I wouldn't trade that for the world. In a society, where it's hard to trust, it's comforting to know that there are people that always have your best interest in mind. I would not have made it this far without them. Recently, I've been missing my older brother but I was so happy to hear from him today on Skype! It made me realize how much they mean to me, my entire spirit was lifted for the rest of the day!

My sister, my mini me.....where do I begin?! We have always been close over the years, it was so tough saying goodbye 2 years ago when I had to leave for school. However, over the past 2 years apart our relationship has grown enormously. I had a very tough time my first semester and she was there to encourage and motivate me to keep going. She really is a phone call away and we can talk for hoursssss, lol! I don't know what I would do without her.

Have a lovely weekend!
