A beyond heartwarming story,
On Sunday, Alondra's mother was locked out of their home for not paying rent (she lost her job 3 months ago due to COVID and was keeping it a secret because she did not want to alarm her daughters). Alondra gave her mother her entire $1,800 in college savings, that she had saved up from working part-time at Chipotle, to put toward the $2,000 rent her mother owed. She didn't know how she would pay for her upcoming college tuition and posted a GoFundMe page:
